Atholl Palace Hotel

Located in Pitlochry in the Highlands, a majestic palace with stunning views of the country side. Trials and steams adorn the property. Beautifully decorated and soothing. The staff is very friendly and accommodating to everyone's needs. The restaurant serves wonderful dishes. The Stag Head bar was our favorite with great whiskeys, gins, and cocktails. The bar menu hosts great bar foods to satisfy and palette. Atholl will see us again and again.

Had an idyllic time over Hogmanay. The food was fantastic and abundant and the staff couldn't have been nicer, making us feel like VIPs, little things like remembering I take non dairy milk in my coffee. The views are gorgeous, the rooms warm and cosy, and the location fantastic, just 10 minutes' walk from Pitlochry village. There was always music on and the NYE party was so memorable and action packed. We all felt so glamorous. On new year's day, there's a big street party in the village which still took place in softly falling snow, and someone handed me the best mince pie I've ever had. I can't fault the hotel and I'd love to return. A brilliant holiday.

Absolutely loved our 2 night stay. Staff are so friendly and helpful and the hotel is truly stunning. We did venture out both days but if we had wanted to we could have happily spent them in the hotel and exploring the beautiful extensive grounds. The musician/singer in the Stag's bar on Friday 23rd was brilliant and very much a crowd pleaser. Thank you for singing my request 'if you could read my mind'. Didn't eat in the resraurant but did in the bar. The food was delicious and huge portions. Definately we will be back.

Booked an overnight Spa stay. Loved everything and everything moment! Joanne in the Spa was marvellous, the staff I. The hotel so friendly and welcoming. Meals were excellent and delighted with our room. Also had a good evening in the bar with fabulous live music! Looking forward to next visit!

Host of our annual “Party at the Palace” event. Excellent staff throughout, we couldn’t ask for more. Food was top notch - again. Restaurant service first class. Such a lovely place to host our dance event. Special shout out to Events Manager Catherine, and restaurant manger Flavio who are both super helpful. See you next year.

Great hotel, in fact it's massive.. A place that you Immediately feel at home, loads of places to sit and relax, open fires. The staff were all great and the breakfast was excellent (self service). Evening meal was superb, we ate in the bar but no issues whatsoever. Our room was large. Superbly comfortable bed and great views over the garden. Excellent pool and jacuzzi with spa. Loads of free parking. Situated in a massive 50 acre site with woodland walks and many other outdoor activities weather permitting. Great hotel, happy to return.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an absolutely amazing venue. We celebrated my mum’s 90th birthday at the Atholl Palace Hotel and it could not have been more perfect. From the moment we arrived, the staff were outstanding — warm, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had afternoon tea, which was beautifully presented and delicious, and the setting itself is just stunning. The hotel kindly allowed us to bring in a private singer, Michael Lewis, who is local to the area and really starting to make a name for himself. He performed three beautiful songs for my mum, and it made the occasion incredibly special. The hotel’s flexibility and support meant the world to us. The rooms are fantastic — clean, comfortable, warm and very well equipped. You can tell real care goes into maintaining the standards throughout. A big shout out to Kirsty, who I believe may be (or should be!) the General Manager — I never actually asked — but she was exceptional. Professional, attentive and genuinely caring. They helped make a milestone birthday one our family will treasure forever. Brilliant in every way — we will absolutely be back.

A truly beautiful and elegant hotel set in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, just a short stroll from the charming village of Pitlochry. This was my first stay at Atholl Palace and it exceeded all expectations. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable, the food was amazing throughout our stay, and the staff were simply wonderful — attentive, welcoming, and went above and beyond to make our visit so memorable. The setting is stunning, with beautiful views in every direction and expansive grounds offering lovely walks to fully take in the scenery. After exploring, it was so nice to relax by the gorgeous roaring fires, which added such a cosy and welcoming atmosphere. We were lucky enough to have snow during our stay, adding extra magic to an already spectacular location. The Hogmanay celebrations were a real highlight, featuring a delicious four-course meal, bagpipes, and traditional ceilidh dancing. The new year's day street party in the village rounded off the celebrations perfectly. I will definitely be back. A huge thank you to the entire team for such a lovely and memorable stay.
